Extraordinary

Some more pretty little foiled snowflakes made with new Stick & Shine sheets by Penny Black! Aren't they cute?

For this card I used a previously released Penny Black stamp set called Snowman Hugs. I coloured the image with my Karin markers before die cutting the panel with Semi-Circle Stackers die. After that I used a stencil from the new stencil set Background Basics, placed it on the panel and sponged some Distress Oxide inks in Salty Ocean and Mermaid Lagoon on the panel. The sentiment I used is from the sentiment set Jolly Snippets. After stamping the sentiment, I took the new Stick & Shine sheet Extraordinary, chose  three snowflakes and rubbed them on the panel. Then I took some pink foil from the foil set Classic Colors Multipack and gently rubbed that on the sticky snowflakes. For the background, I used the new embossing folder Dashed Design and dry embossed a piece of cream coloured cardstock. I then matted both the background and the panel onto light blue cardstock, adhered the panel onto some craft foam and adhered both the background and the panel in place.

Joyful.Merry.Blessed.

See the green foil on the background in this card? That is what you're left with when you use the new Penny Black Stick & Shine sheet and foil, that is the 'negative'. I thought it was so pretty that I just couldn't throw it away, instead I decided to use it as the background in this card.

I die cut the frame with Stitched Loops die and adhered the foil to the back of the frame. I then coloured one of the mugs in the Mugs of Joy stamp set with my Copics very simply and fussy cut it out. I also added a bit of white gel pen to the image. Before adhering the angel in place with foam adhesives, I stamped a sentiment from the Jolly Snippets stamp set on the frame. Lastly, I used the Festive Finesse die to die cut the branch, trimmed some of the berries and leaves off of it and adhered it in place.

Refinement

Will you just please look at that gorgeous shiny foiling! It's done with the new Penny Black product line called Stick & Shine, a foiling system that needs no expensive gagdets. And I am in love with the shine!

Here I used a Stick & Shine sheet called Refinement with green foil. After foiling, I die cut the panel with Antique Frame die and sponged some Distress Oxide ink in Peacock Feathers on it. I die cut the word 'joy' with Jumbo Joy die, first from pink cardstock and then a few times from white cardstock before adhering the layers together to make the word stand out a bit. I heat embossed the sentiment from the sentiment set Jolly Snippets on a strip of black cardstock and adhered in in place on top of the word 'joy'. I then used the die Festive Finesse but used only the berries from that die cut, coloured them with my Copics, added a bit of white gel pen on them and adhered them in place. Lastly, I embellished the card with some sticky back pearls.

Feather Trio

Here's another Christmas card made with some gorgeous Penny Black goodies. The stamp I used is called Feather Trio from the Penny Black release Sparkle & Shine.

I coloured the image with my Copics and added a bit of white gel pen here and there. I then used a negative of a stencil from the new stencil set Background Basics, placed that on top of the image and sponged some Distress Oxide inks to the panel (I used Old paper, Antique Linen and Brushed Corduroy). I then used the new foiling system by Penny Black called Stick & Shine and added the gorgeous snowflakes on the panel. I love the look of this foiling, it's so gorgeous in real life and so easy to do. After the foiling, I also added some splatters of white watered down acrylic paint to the panel before stamping my sentiment on it from the sentiment set Jolly Snippets. Lastly, I matted the panel onto a piece of dark brown cardstock before adhering it all to my card base.

Festive Finesse

I don't often make cards with just die cuts but it's sometimes fun to do things a bit differently and to challenge yourself, right? This card was made with die by Penny Black.

I used the die Festive Finesse from recent Penny Black release Sparkle & Shine, die cut it from Copic friendly cardstock and coloured it with my Copics. I also added a bit of green Stickles to the green sprigs. I die cut the bow using Jumbo Bauble die and coloured that with Copics as well. The word 'joy' is die cut with Immense Joy die out of cork cardstock. In the background I used a stencil from the new stencil set Background Basics and sponged some Distress Oxide inks in Peeled Paint and Rustic Wilderness to the card base. After I had adhered everything in place, I embellished the card with some sequins and half pearls.

Mugs of Joy

It's reminder time at Penny Black Saturday Challenge. The theme for September is Anything Goes with the optional theme of Lots of Layers.

I decided to go for the Anything Goes theme with this Christmas card. The stamps I used are new from Penny Black and from the set called Mugs of Joy. I stamped them onto Copic friendly cardstock and coloured very simply with my Copics. After colouring, I used a stencil from the new stencil set called Background Basics. I'm really excited about these stencils as I do background inking a lot and these stencils simply make my crafting so much easier. No need for masking tape anymore! So I used the smaller rectangle stencil from the set, placed it onto my card panel and sponged some Distress Oxide inks to the panel. I then left the stencil in place, stamped my sentiment from the sentiment set Christmas Sentiments, and splattered the panel with some white acrylic paint dilluted with water to create the snow. Lastly, I adhered the panel onto my cardbase.

Holly Circle

I'm playing with some new products from the Christmas release Penny Black released in late July, Sparkle & Shine, and there are some new product lines I am totally excited about!

Can you see the gorgeous sparkle on the green panel on the card? That is foiling! Do I have expensive equipment for foiling? No, I do not! That foiling is done with the new product line Penny Black came up with called Stick & Shine. It works like rub-ons, you just rub a Stick & Shine sheet on a piece of smooth cardstock, apply a sheet of foil on it and rub with your finger (or an applicator tool), peel the sheet of foil off and admire all the pretty sparkle! Easy peasy! So that is what I did with this Stick & Shine sheet called Refinement before I sponged some Distress Oxide ink in Rustic Wilderness on top of it. For the card base, I also added a piece of white cardstock (on a piece of craft foam) with a strip of black cardstock separating the foiled edge and the white panel. My focal image is called Holly Circle, I coloured it with my Copics before die cutting it with the matching die, Holly Circle Cut Out. The sentiment comes from the sentiment set Christmas Sentiments. I also used some red and pink sequins to embellish the card.
