AAA Birthday: April - Huhtikuu

The April challenge is live at AAA Birthday! This month the theme is 'A Shaped Card', so not a square or a rectangle but something else - the sky is the limit! As our Guest Designer, we have the very talented Trina P.

I love circle cards so that is what I made. I die cut the card base with My Favorite Things' Stitched Mini Scallop Circle die and die cut a piece of patterned paper for the background. As my stamped images, I used stamps from the Meadow Motifs set by SugarPea Designs that I coloured with my Copics. I stamped my sentiment (it says 'On your birthday') on a little banner and added some tiny clear sequins as embellishments.

On huhtikuun haasteen aika AAA Birthdayssä ja teemana on 'A Shaped Card' eli ei neliötä tai suorakulmiota vaan jonkin muun mallinen kortti. Guest Designerina meillä on Trina P.

Itse pidän pyöreistä korteista, joten sellaisen tein. Stanssasin korttipohjan My Favorite Thingsin stanssilla ja stanssasin myös kuviopaperia taustalle. Leimakuvina käytin SugarPea Designsin ihania Meadow Motifs -leimoja, leimakuvat väritin Copiceilla. Tekstin leimasin pienelle bannerille ja koristelin kortin pienillä kirkkailla paljeteilla.

The Flower Challenge: October - Lokakuu

 

We're midway through October challenge at The Flower Challenge. This month we're also celebrating our 4th birthday so there are lots of prizes to be won! Please head over to The Flower Challenge blog to see them. Aaand we have a new DT member joining us this month too! It is the very talented Loll Thompson who has agreed to join us and who will undoubtedly inspire us all with her gorgeous cards.

 

 

 

So our theme is Circle/Circles and I used a die from the die set Framed by Penny Black to create my circle. I die cut the circle three times and glued them all on top of each other to make the circle a bit more prominent. The flower I used is a stamp by SugarPea Designs and from the set Meadow Motifs, I coloured it with my Copics and die cut it using the matching die. I die cut the panel with My Favorite Things die and stamped my sentiment ('Congratulations') on it. Before attaching the panel to my card base, I added a layer of fun foam behind it to raise it from the card base. Lastly, I rounded the corners of my card base.

 Lokakuun haaste The Flower Challengessä on puolessa välissä ja koska kyseessä on myös haasteen 4-v. synttärit, on palkintoja luvassa voittajille roppakaupalla! Yllä näet myös nykyiset tiimiläiset, meillä on uusi DT-jäsen - Loll Thompson!

Teema on siis Circle/Circles. Oman ympyräni tein Penny Blackin stanssilla setistä Framed, stanssasin sen kolmeen kertaan ja liimasin päällekkäin. Kukka on SugarPea Designsin setistä Meadow Motifs, väritin sen Copiceilla ja stanssasin. Paneeli on stanssattu MFT:n stanssilla ja tekstileima on Heidin Korttipajan. Kiinnitin paneelin taakse foamia, jotta sain sen koholle korttipohjasta. Lopuksi pyöristin kortin kulmat.

It's time for a new challenge at The Flower Challenge and the theme is Circle/Circles. October is a special month for The Flower Challenge as it is our birthday month - we're 4 years old now! To celebrate, we have loads of prizes for our winners, please head over to The Flower Challenge to see them. And while you're there, you'll find that we have a new wonderfully talented DT member joining us. Who might that be? You'll find out at The Flower Challenge!

I made my card using the gorgeous florals from the Meadow Motifs set by SugarPea Designs that I coloured with my Copics. For my circle, I made a circle frame with the Stitched Circles dies by Penny Black and placed a piece of vellum behind it before heat embossing the sentiment ('Congratulations' in Finnish) with gold embossing powder. I also placed some rich brown patterned paper for the background on my card. I finished the card by embellishing it with matte gold sequins.

Ympyräksi käytin Penny Blackin Stitched Circles -stansseilla stanssattua kehystä, jonka taakse laitoin vellumia. Embossasin siihen Heidin Korttipajan tekstileiman. Taustalle laitoin kuviopaperia ja koristelin kortin paljeteilla.
