Keltaista - Yellow

Ulkona on harmaa päivä, joten mikäpä siihen sopisi paremmin kuin yltiökeltainen kortti! Tämäkin on tämmöinen simppeli peruskortti ilman sen suurempia kruusauksia. Käytin tähän Stempelkellerin tekstileimaa ja kukkaa Inkadinkadon Gem Stone Flowers -setistä. Kukat leikkasin irti veitsellä ja 'tekstipahvit' stanssasin, sitten vain ladoin ne tarrapaloilla October Afternoonin paperille, jonka nurkkia mustetin keltaisella DI:llä. Koristeiksi laitoin pitsiä ja muutaman puolihelmen ja keltainen pläjäys oli valmis :)

It's cloudy and overcast here today so I thought I'd offer you some colour therapy! This is quite simple and basic card but at least it's happy and yellow :) The sentiment is by Stempelkeller in Germany and goes something like 'Smile is the shortest distance between two people'. The flower is from the Gem Stone Flowers set by Inkadinkado, stamped with yellow Versamagic and cut out with a craft knife. I raised the ovals and the flowers with 3D foam pads from the October Afternoon paper and I also inked the edges of the paper with some DI. As embellies I used some lace and pearls.

Jouluiloa - Christmas joy

Tällä kertaa näytille tuleekin sitten useampi kortti, sillä tässä alkaa jo pienimuotoinen ressi iskeä siitä, että en ehdi postata kaikkia joulukortteja ennen joulua... Saattaa siis hyvinkin olla, että minä vielä postailen joulukortteja, kun kaikki muut ovat niihin jo kyllästyneet monikertoihin! ;D Mutta kuitenkin. Nämä kortit ovat saaneet innoituksensa Hero Artsin tämän blogipostauksen ensimmäisestä kortista. Ainekset ovat sinänsä simppelit: Graphic45:n paperia, kraft-kartonkia, nauhaa, joulutähti ja suomenkielisessä kortissa tekstileima Taitopuoti Paperinauhan setistä, ruotsinkielisessä Finnstamperilta.

These cards were inspired by the first card on this post in the Hero Arts blog. The ingredients were simple (once again...): some beautiful paper by Graphic45, some kraft cardstock, some ribbon, a poinsettia and a sentiment (in the first card 'Christmas peace' in Finnish, in the second card 'Warm Christmas greetings' in Swedish).

Nämä kortit ovat, jos mahdollista, vieläkin yksinkertaisempia :) Näihin taittelin korttipohjan kraft-kartongista (nämä aukeavat ylöspäin), sitten Taitopuoti Paperinauhan teksti samalle kartongille ja tarrapaloilla koholle, hieman nauhaa ja Graphic45:n paperia ja kortit olivat valmiit. 

These cards are even simpler, if it's even possible :) Just some kraft cardstock, pieces of ribbon, some lovely Graphic45 papers and sentiment ('Christmas joy'). Easy peasy! :)

Tekstikortit - Cards with sentiments

Tässä pari hyvin simppeliä tekstijoulukorttia. Paperi molemmissa on Papermanian, lisänä tavallista askartelukartonkia Cuttiksella leikattuna seka pitsiä (alemman kortin pitsiin pujottelin lisäksi hieman hopeaista nauhaa). Tekstileimasimet ovat Stempelkellerin. Hyvin yksinkertainen toteutus siis, mutta ainakin itse pidän näistä silti :)

Here are a couple of very simple Christmas cards with the sentiments as their focal points (sorry, once again I won't attempt to translate them but they're little Christmassy poems). The paper is by Papermania and I've just added some lace (I also added some silvery ribbon to the lace on the second card here). Very simple cards but I like them anyway :)

Joulukortti - Christmas card

Tein vaihteeksi joulukortin ihan vain tekstillä ilman leimakuvaa. Ostin näitä Stempelkellerin joulutekstileimasimia juurikin sen takia, että voisin tehdä tällaisia "ei-väritettäviä" korttejakin. Mielestäni nämä ovat ihan kivoja, sopinevat ihmisille, jotka eivät erityisemmin välitä ylimääräisestä hörsötyksestä kortissa. Paperi tässä on Papermanian, lisänä samettinauhaa, harmaita puolihelmiä ja tavallista kartonkia. Nuo Spellbindersilla leikatut kartongit on kohotettu tarrapaloilla sekä toisistaan että korttipohjasta. Kortin kulmat pyöristin leikkurilla.

I made a very simple Christmas card for a change, no coloured images, no extra fuss, just a nice sentiment (which is a poem so I won't translate it, but it basically says that if you stop hurrying and worrying, the "real" Christmas will come). The paper is by Papermania and I just added some velvet ribbon, grey pearls and some basic cardstock. The pieces of cardstock cut with Spellbinders dies are twice raised with 3D foam pads. I rounded the corners of the card with a corner punch.

(Jouduin jälleen kerran rajaamaan kuvan todella oudosti. Yritin alunperin rajata kuvan ihan kortin reunojen mukaan, jolloin Blogger heitti sen aina pystyyn ns. portrait-muotoon enkä saanut sitä millään käännettyä oikeaan asentoon, ainoa keino oli rajata kuva näin. Olenko oikeasti ainoa, jolla on tällaisia ongelmia....? Alkaa hermot mennä.... :-/

Sorry about the funny framing of the piccie, I had to frame it  this way because Blogger tried to place the picture in portrait form and I just couldn't turn it, framing it this way was the only thing that helped.)
