Christmas Mouse

I adore this lil' mouse so much that I wanted to turn him into a Christmas mouse. He's from the What's Cookin'? stamp set by Hero Arts and I coloured him with my Copics. I then added a scarf and turned oven mittens into winter mittens to give him a seasonal look. For the other elements, I used a mix of products from different companies. The background is embossed with a 3D embossing folder from Nellie's Choice, the frames are die cut with the Pinkfresh Studio die Stitched Scallop Rectangles and the snowflakes are die cut with Penny Black dies form the sets Polar Pair and Dancing Snowflakes. The sentiment is heat embossed and says 'Merry Christmas'.

Get Well Soon

I made this little get well card with the fun Classic Casserole die set by Hero Arts. I wanted to take part in the Stay Crafty challenge so I die cut the pieces from yellow and white cardstock and glued them together. For the background, I used a bit of patterned paper and a piece of white cardstock, both die cut with Spellbinders' Scored and Pierced Rectangles dies. The sentiment is from the Hero Arts stamp set Summer Blooms. Lastly, I embellished the card with some yellow half pearls.

Thankful for You

How darling is this little mouse!? Simply the cutest ever! For this card, I used three Hero Arts stamp sets: What's Cookin'? for the little mouse and the pie, On the Shelf for the shelves and everything on them, and Friendship Blooms for the sentiment. I did the colouring with my Copics and added a bit of patterned paper on the background.

Poppies

Here's a card I made simply because I wanted to colour this image. I love poppies and this stamp by Gina K Designs, Poppy Garden, is one of my favourite poppy stamps.

I coloured the image with my Copics before die cutting the image with its matching die. The frame is die cut with Fancy Rectangle Frame die by Pinkfresh Studio and there's a bit of patterned paper on the background. The heat embossed sentiment says 'Congratulations'. As embellishments, I used some half pearls.

Guest Designing at Seize the Birthday Challenge

I have the honour of Guest Designing at the current Seize the Birthday challenge. I am absolutely thrilled and want to thank the Design Team for having me! The theme is always 'birthday' and this time the optional topping is 'Clean and Simple with a Stencil'.

I created my card by using a stencil from Create a Smile and ink blending Distress Oxide inks through it. I then stamped and die cut the beautiful florals from Pinkfresh Studio's set It's a New Day Floral and coloured them with my Copics before arranging and adhering them onto the card. The sentiment is from the Pinkfresh Studio stamp set Choose Hope. I added some half pearls as embellishments.

Please hop over to Seize the Birthday challenge blog to see the amazing inspiration from the Design Team and please do join in on the fun!

Rise to New Heights

I wanted to make a card for the current Stay Crafty with A Blog Named Hero challenge where the theme is 'Create a project with clouds'. At first I was sure I didn't have anything with clouds but then I went through my Hero Arts stamps and realised Sky's the Limit Balloons set had cloud stamps in it. So encouragement card it is with a hot air balloon and some clouds! I stamped the images on a panel die cut with a die from the Spellbinders set Scored and Pierced Rectangles, and watercoloured them with my Karin Markers. I then placed the die back in place and ink blended some blue Distress Oxide ink to the panel, removed the die and stamped the sentiment (it's from the same stamp set). I also splattered some blue and black watercolour on the image. For the background, I dry embossed a piece of cardstock with a Studio Light embossing folder.

Monochrome Flower

I made a card for the current Pinkfresh Studio challenge with the theme of Tone-on-Tone & Monochromatic Magic. I used the Folk Floral Stem stamp and the matching die from Pinkfresh Studio and coloured the image with my Copics using the R30s colour family. The die I used for the frame is Ornate Oval Frame (Pinkfresh Studio) and I was hoping to have it in pink matching the leaves on the flower stem but unfortunately, I did not have an exact match in my cardstock so I had to use white. The background is simply a piece of red cardstock, the heat embossed sentiment says 'On Your Special Day', and as embellishments I used gorgeous red gems, also by Pinkfresh Studio.
