Tirpuunen jouluaamuna - A Bird on a Branch

Tällä kertaa joulukorttiin pääsi tuo koivikkoleima PTI:n Through the Trees -setistä. Embossasin sen valkoisella, sudin sinistä Distress Inkiä päälle ja lisäsin tuon tipusen (stanssattu Memory Boxin Resting Birds -stanssilla). Taustan paperit ovat Teresa Collinsin Christmas Cottage -sarjaa ja kaareva reuna on stanssattu Simon Says Stampin stanssilla. Tekstileima on Stempelkelleriä ja embossattu niin ikään valkoisella. Eipä siinä sen kummempia :)

It's another Christmas card, this time with a stamp from the 'Through the Trees' set by Papertrey Ink. I stamped and heat embossed the image and sponged some blue Distress Ink on it, then I added the little bird on the branch (die cut with the Memory Box die 'Resting Birds'). The patterned papers are by Teresa Collins ('Christmas Cottage') and I die cut the curved edge with a Simon Says Stamp die. The sentiment says 'Merry Christmas' in Finnish and it's heat embossed as well. That's about it, nothing too fancy on this card (nothing new there, right? ;) ).

Joulukuusi - Christmas Tree

Pitkästä aikaa ikkunakorttia! Taittelin tekstuuripintaisesta kartongista korttipohjan ja stanssasin sen ja etupaneelin läpi ympyrän, väliin laitoin kohokuvioidun asetaattipalan ja tuon paneelin kohotarroilla koholle. Kuusen leimasin Hero Artsin Merry Christmas Trees -setin kuusella ja embossasin valkoisella, päälle levitin vihreää Distress Inkiä, koristeeksi pieni helmi. Tekstibannerin stanssasin My Favorite Thingsin stanssilla ja embossasin tuon Stempelkellerin tekstin.

It's been a while since I last made a window card so decided to make one now. The card base and the panel are both textured cardstock, I die cut the circle out of them both and added a piece of dry embossed acetate between them, and attached the panel with foam adhesives for a little raised effect. The tree is stamped with a tree stamp from Hero Arts set 'Merry Christmas Trees', heat embossed in white and sponged with green Distress Ink. I die cut the banner with a My Favorite Things die and heat embossed the sentiment  (which says 'Merry Christmas' in Finnish). As a finishing touch, there's one red sticky back pearl.

Käpyjä, käpyjä! - Pine cones, pine cones!

Lisää joulukortteja! Tällä kertaa kortissa on männyn oksia käpyineen, leimattu Clearly Besotted Stamps/Simon Says Stampin leimoilla (Holly Berries) ja Distress Markereilla. Stempelkellerin teksti on leimattu Heron musteella (Cup O' Joe). Sitten vain kerrostus kartongille ja kohotarrapaloilla kiinni korttipohjaan. Valkoiset kartongit on muuten Papermanian tekstuuripintaista kartonkia, tekstuuripinta antoi mukavaa rouheutta tuohon leimakuvaan.

Another Christmas card! (I'm on a roll here! ;) ) This time I used the boughs of pine and the pinecones from the 'Holly Berries' set by Clearly Besotted Stamps for Simon Says Stamp and stamped them onto some textured cardstock by Papermania using Distress Markers. The sentiment is a Christmas poem in Finnish and it's stamped with some Hero Arts ink ('Cup O' Joe'). The panel is mounted onto some brown cardstock and adhered to the cardbase with foam adhesives.

Enkeleitä, enkeleitä - Angels, angels

Ympyräkortti-ihastus jatkuu :) Tällä kertaa tein ympyriäisiä joulukortteja tällä ihanalla Penny Blackin jouluenkelillä (Magic of Christmas). Väritin ne Distress Markereilla ja Zig Clean Color Real Brush -vesivärikynillä, leikkasin irti ja lisäilin siipiin Tattered Angelsin Glimmer Glazea ja seppeleeseen ja mekkoon Liquid Pearls -pisteitä (keskimmäisen kortin enkeliin laitoin sen sijaan kultaista Sticklesiä). Paperit ovat sekalaista seurakuntaa, ensimmäisen kortin sydämet on stanssattu Simon Says Stampin stanssilla (Mini Hearts Set) ja viimeisen kortin linnut taas Memory Boxin stanssilla (Resting Birds). Tekstileima on Stempelkellerin.

I made some shaped Christmas cards with this gorgeous Penny Black stamp ('Magic of Christmas'). I coloured the angels with Distress Markers and Zig Clean Color Real Brush watercolour pens, fussy cut them out and added some Tattered Angels Glimmer Glaze to their wings and some white Liquid Pearls drops to their headpieces and dresses (for the second card, I replaced the Liquid Pearls with gold Stickles). The tiny hearts on the first one are die cut with a Simon Says Stamp die ('Mini Hearts Set') and the birds on the last one are die cut with a Memory Box die ('Resting Birds'). The sentiment says 'Christmas Peace' in Finnish and is stamped on strips of vellum. The circle dies I used to cut the cardblanks and patterned papers with are by My Favorite Things.

Vauvoja, vauvoja! - Babies, babies!

Vauvat ovat jotenkin "olleet tapetilla" viime aikoina ja minua on pyydetty tekemään useampikin vauvakortti, tässä niistä osa. Paperit kaikissa näissä on Crate Paperin, leimakuvat Marianne Designin ja väritetty Distress Markereilla, chipboard-kuviot Wycinankan. Lisänä hieman kukkaa, nappia, narua, enamel dotseja ja höyheniä.

Babies, babies, babies! :) I've been asked to make quite a few baby-related cards lately, these ones congratulate on a new baby girl. The patterned papers on all these are by Crate Paper, the stamped images are by Marianne Design and coloured with Distress Markers, the chipboard elements are by Wycinanka. As additional elements there are flowers, buttons, twine, enamel dots, feathers...

Tanssiva Dotty - Dancing Dotty

Vaihteeksi synttärikorttia, tällä kertaa Art Impressionsin Dotty-tädillä. Väritin Dottyn Distress Markereilla, leikkasin irti ja kiinnitin kohotarroilla. Paperit ovat muistaakseni My Mind's Eyetä ja tekstileima Vilda Stampsia. Lisänä vain muutama timantti. Tässä harmittaa hieman se, että menin ja kiinnitin tuon taustapaperin väärin päin, nuo laudat olisi pitänyt linjata Dottyn käsien mukaan, niin korttiin olisi tullut parempi 'flow' mutta enpä huomannut sitä ennen kuin kortti oli valmis. No eipä auta, tällä mennään :)

I've got a birthday card to show you. I used this Art Impressions' stamp 'Dotty' for the first time, and I coloured her with Distress Markers, fussy cut her out and attached with foam adhesives. The papers are by My Mind's Eye, if my memory serves me right ;) and the sentiment says, very roughly translated, something like '(Wishing you) happiness and joy'. I added a few gems as finishing touches. My only regret with this card is that I attached the background paper the wrong way, the boards in the paper should have been aligned with Dotty's hands and that would have given a nice flow to the card but sadly I only noticed that after I had finished the card. Oh well, it can't be helped now :)

Auringonpaistetta - Wishing you sunshine

Ympyräkorttia ystävälle tällä kertaa, eli stanssailin ympyrät korttipohjasta ja Pink Paisleen papereista. Siihen sekaan hieman Papertrey Inkin perhosta ja tekstileimaa sekä nyöriä ja paljetteja. Perhosen leimasin Heron musteella ja kiinnitin tarrapaloilla. Siinäpä se :)

A little card for a friend this time. I die cut the circles with My Favorite Things' dies, the papers are by Pink Paislee. I stamped and die cut the butterfly with Papertrey Ink stamps and dies ('Beautiful Butterflies'), the ink is by Hero Arts and the butterfly is attached with some foam adhesives. The sentiment is by Papertrey Ink as well. As additional elements there's some twine and a few sequins. And that's pretty much it :)

LISÄYS: Ympyrät on siis stanssattu My Favorite Thingsin ympyrästansseilla (Die-namics Circle Stax set 1), joissa isoimman stanssin läpimitta on reilu 10 cm.

ETA: The dies I used are Die-namics Circle Stax set 1 and the biggest circle die is a little over 10 centimetres in diameter.
