PBSC: July - Heinäkuu

It's time for the July challenge at Penny Black Saturday Challenge. The theme is, as always, Anything Goes with the optional theme this month being Spots and/or Stripes. 

I created my card with a new Penny Black stamp called Here's to You! I stamped it onto watercolour paper and very loosely coloured it with my Karin markers. I die cut the border with a die from the set Border Collection and added my stripes with a piece of patterned paper from the Beau Jardin paper pad. The sentiment is from the sentiment set Not Older, Better. I embellished my card with some sparkly rhinestones.

Oman korttini tein Penny Blackin uudella Here's to You! -leimalla, jonka leimasin vesiväripaperille ja väritin Karin-tusseilla hyvinkin suurpiirteisesti. Reunan stanssasin Border Collection -setin stanssilla ja lisäsin vaihtoehtoisen teeman mukaiset raidat kuviopaperilla Beau Jardin -paperikosta. Tekstileima on setistä Not Older, Better. Lopuksi koristelin kortin timanteilla.

To the graduate - Ylioppilaalle

Last weekend my nephew graduated from 6th form college and I made him this card. I wanted to use my new Pinkfresh Studio stamp called Chrysanthemum but needed to make it masculine, so I coloured the image in grey Copics. I die cut the slimline shape with Penny Black's Slimline Medley die and sponged some grey ink onto the panel while the die was still in place. The golden sticker on the card is the symbol used for graduates from 6th form college. The sentiment says, roughly translated, 'To the graduate' and I heat embossed it in white.

Tämä ylioppilaskortti meni viime viikonloppuna veljenpojalleni. Halusin käyttää siinä uusinta Pinkfresh Studio -leimaani Chrysanthemum, mutta koitin tehdä siitä maskuliinisen värittämällä leimakuvan harmailla Copiceilla. Slimline-kortin stanssasin Penny Blackin Slimline Medley -stanssilla ja paneeliin mustetin harmaata mustetta, kun stanssi oli vielä paikoillaan. Ylioppilaslyyra on tarra ja teksti on embossattu valkoisella harmaalle kartonkisuikaleelle.

AAA Birthday: June - Kesäkuu

 

It's time for the June challenge at AAA Birthday and fittingly for June, the theme is Flowers. As our Guest Designer, we have the wonderful Libeeti joining us. This is also a bittersweet challenge for me as this will be the last time I join in with a DT card. I'm stepping down from the Design Team as there is just too much going on in my life at the moment (all good things but things that keep me way too busy) for me to be a good DT member. I want to thank Jane and all the wonderful ladies on the DT for everything, I have loved being a member of this wonderfully talented Design Team.

My last DT card features a stamp from the Simon Says Stamp/Memory Box collaboration stamp set called True Friend. I coloured the image with my Copics and added a few accents with a white gel pen. I then die cut the panel with Penny Black's Leaf Stitched Frames die and before lifting the die, I sponged some Distress Oxide inks in Antique Linen and Frayed Burlap on the panel. I heat embossed my sentiment ('Birthday Wishes') onto a strip of black cardstock and adhered it to the panel before adhering the whole panel onto some purple cardstock. Lastly, I embellished the card with some half pearls.

Kesäkuun haaste AAA Birthdayssä on Flowers eli kukkaisia synttärikortteja pitäisi tehdä. Guest Designerina meillä on Libeeti. Tämä on samalla minun viimeinen kertani DT-porukassa, sillä jättäydyn siitä pois. Elämä on vain liian kiireistä tällä hetkellä (hyvällä tavalla kiireistä, mutta kiireistä kuitenkin), kaikkea ei ehdi. 

Käytin kukkakorttiini Simon Says Stamp/Memory Box-leimasettiä True Friends. Väritin kukan Copiceilla ja lisäsin hieman valkoista geelikynää. Paneelin stanssasin Penny Blackin Leaf Stitched Frames -stanssilla ja mustetin paneelia hieman, ennen kuin poistin stanssin. Paneelin kiinnitin violettiin kartonkiin ja tekstin embossasin mustalle kartonkisoirolle. Lopulta koristelin kortin puolihelmillä.

Mother's Day card - Äitienpäiväkortti

I haven't had a chance to share the Mother's Day card I made for my Mom until now. I used one of my newest stamps, Cosmos Bunch by Pinkfresh Studio. I coloured the image with my Copics and die cut the panel with Penny Black's Leaf Stitched Frames die. Before removing the die, I sponged some Distress Oxide ink in Antique Linen on the panel. I then adhered the panel onto some pink cardstock before adhering it all to my card base. Lastly, I stamped my sentiment (it says 'For Mother) and embellished the card with some sticky back pearls.

Äitienpäiväkortti on jäänyt jakamatta, joten tässä tulee. Korttiin käytin Pinkfresh Studion ihanaa Cosmos Bunch -leimaa. Väritin leimakuvan Copiceilla ja stanssasin paneelin Penny Blackin Leaf Stitched Frames -stanssilla. Ennen kuin irrotin stanssin paikoiltaa, mustetin paneelia hieman Distress Oxide -musteella sävyssä Antique Linen. Paneelin kiinnitin pinkkiin kartonkiin ja sitten korttipohjaan. Lopuksi leimasin tekstin ja koristelin kortin puolihelmillä.

Penny Black Saturday Challenge: May - Toukokuu

It is time for a new challenge at Penny Black Saturday Challenge. The theme is Anything Goes (as long as it features a Penny Black product) with the optional theme of Nature. Our Guest Designer is the talented Loll.

I chose the optional theme and used a beautiful flower meadow stamp by Penny Black called Delight. I coloured the image with my Karin markers and die cut the panel with Penny Black's Semi-Circle Stackers die before mounting it onto a panel of dark blue cardstock. For the background, I used pale blue cardstock and created a bit of interest by adding a die cut (the die I used is by Penny Black and called Layered Leaves). I embellished the card with some half pearls. This time I didn't add any sentiment to the card as sometimes I find myself needing a simple card without any specific sentiment.

Tekstileimaa en tällä kertaa käyttänyt, mutta koristelin kortin puolihelmillä.

AAA Birthday: May - Toukokuu

It's AAA Birthday's 3rd birthday and it is time to party! The theme is Let's Party and joining us in our celebration is our Guest Designer, Meghan.

A party is no party without a conga line, right? Ha ha! That was the motivation behind my card on which I used the Conga Line stamp by Colorado Craft Company. I coloured the image with my Karin markers, added some splatters with gold spray and adhered some gold sequins as embellishments, hoping they'd look a bit like confetti being thrown. The sentiment (which says 'Congrats') is a die cut. I die cut it 3 or 4 times and adhered all the layers on top of each other before adhering it on my card. This gives a nice dimension to the sentiment, although it doesn't show on the photo. Lastly, I adhered the panel onto some red cardstock before adhering it all to my card base.

AAA Birthday on jo 3-vuotias ja sitähän pitää juhlia! Teemana on siis Let's Party ja juhlimassa mukana on Guest Designer Meghan.

Käytin DT-korttiini Colorado Craft Companyn Conga Line -leimaa, väritin leimakuvan Karin-tusseilla ja roiskin päälle kultaspraytä. Lisäsin vielä muutaman kultaisen paljetin ja toivoin, että ne näyttäisivät ilmaan heitetyltä konfetilta. Teksti on stanssattu, stanssasin sen 3-4 kertaan ja kiinnitin kerrokset toisiinsa ennen kuin kiinnitin sen korttiin. Lopuksi kiinnitin paneelin punaiselle kartongille ja korttipohjaan. 

Twelve - Kaksitoista

My eldest son turned 12 last month and I made him a birthday card using an older Tiddly Inks stamp from the set My Boys. I coloured the image with my Copics and fussy cut it out. I wanted to keep the card simple, so I added a bit of patterned paper on my card base, and die cut a star frame with Lawn Fawn dies which I adhered with foam adhesives. I added a die cut sentiment (it says 'Congrats') and die cut numbers to the card. Lastly, I adhered the stamped image with foam adhesives and embellished the card with some enamel dots.

Vanhin poikani täytti viime kuussa 12 ja tein hänelle tämän kortin. Käytin siihen vanhempaa Tiddly Inks -leimaa setistä My Boys. Väritin leimakuvan Copiceilla ja leikkasin sen irti. Kortin taustalle laitoin kuviopaperia ja stanssasin tähtikehykset, jotka kiinnitin kohotarroilla. Teksti ja numerot ovat stanssatut myös. Koristelin kortin enamel dotseilla.
