Graduation Card

Here's another graduation card I made this year. I used Penny Black's gorgeous rose stamp called Prized and coloured the image with my Copics before fussy cutting it out. I then die cut a small label and stamped the sentiment ('To the Graduate') on it and tied it around the rose stemp with gold thread. For the background I layered a panel of white cardstock on top of a panel of gold cardstock and matted them onto my card base. I also die cut the circle frame with Penny Black's Stars & Circles die out of gold card stock. I adhered everything in place and added a gold sticker to the upper right corner.

To the Graduate

I needed to make a graduation card and chose to use this gorgeous floral stamp by Pinkfresh Studio called Miss Your Smile. I die cut the card base with Penny Black's slimline die from the set Slimline Medley and coloured the image with my Copics. I then partly die cut and partly heat embossed the sentiment (loosely translated it says 'Congrats to the graduate') and added a golden sticker to the upper right corner (it's a symbol of this particular type of graduate this card goes to).

In the Meadow

I really like the leaves cascading down in this stamp from the In the Meadow stamp set by Pinkfresh Studio. I coloured the image with my Copics and die cut it with the matching die before adding some white gel pen to it. I also coloured and die cut some of the single leaves in the set. I stamped my sentiment (wishing a happy birthday in Finnish) on the panel before adhering the image with some foam adhesives. The single leaves are adhered flat on the card panel.

Birthday card

I need to grow my birthday card stash so I made a birthday card with this Altenew Darling Lily stamp. I coloured the image with my Copics and fussy cut it. I then used a couple of dies by Penny Black to create the background, namely All-in-One Oval for the piece with the scalloped edge, and Frame It die for the frame. I also layered panels of white and light blue cardstocks on top of the All-in-One Oval die cut to cover the oval opening on it. For the sentiment, I partly die cut and partly heat embossed the sentiment which says Happy Birthday in Finnish. Lastly, I embellished the card with some gems.

Artful Entry

I made this card with a new stamp from Penny Black called Artful Entry. This image is perfect to colour with watercolours so I used my Karin markers to colour it. I also added a few dots with a white gel pen to the potted tree as flowers. The sentiment comes from the new sentiment set Brighten the World. I matted the panel onto a piece of black cardstock before adhering it to my card base.

Mother's Day

It's Mother's Day today in Finland so I have a couple of Mother's Day cards to share. I made the first card for my Mum and used Penny Black's gorgeous Meander stamp for it. I coloured the image with my Copic markers and ink blended the background with Distress Oxide inks in Old Paper and Saltwater Taffy. The sentiment says 'For Mother', I heat embossed it with sparkly gold embossing powder before embellishing the card with some sparkly gold enamel dots.

I made the second card for my Mother-in-Law. The stamp I used is Captivating by Penny Black and again I coloured the image with my Copics. I did the background by ink blending Distress Oxide inks in Old Paper and Bundled Sage and used the same sentiment as I used in the first card (saying 'For Mother' in Finnish), this time with no heat embossing though.

Let's Garden

I made this card with a lovely new stamp by Penny Black called Let's Garden. Once again I coloured the image with my Copics and did the background by ink blending Distress Oxide inks in Old Paper and just a little bit of Saltwater Taffy through a stencil from the Background Basics stencil set. The sentiment I used is from the new sentiment set Brighten the World. I finished the card by embellishing it with some clear gems.
