Penny Black Winter Wishes: Cozy Winter

Christmas cardmaking is in full swing over here and I made this one with some new stamps from the new Penny Black release called Winter Wishes.

I actually used two different stamp sets in this one. The deer and the little hedgie are from the new stamp set Cozy Winter and the tree is from the set Snowfield Friends. I decided to use stamps from both sets as they go together so well. I coloured the images with my watercolours and sponged some Distress Oxide inks in Speckled Egg and Black Soot on the edges of the panel. I then die cut the frame with the Looped Stackers die and adhered it in place. I stamped the sentiment with stamps from the sentiment set Merry Builder.

Joulukortteja syntyy jo pienellä kiireellä... Tämän tein leimoilla uudesta Penny Blackin kokoelmasta Winter Wishes.

Itse asiassa käytin tähän kahta leimasettiä, Cozy Winter on uudesta kokoelmasta ja siitä otin tuon peuran ja siilen ja Snowfield Friends on aikaisemmasta kokoelmasta, siitä on tuo puu. Väritin leimakuvat vesiväreillä ja mustetin paneelin reunoja Distress Oxide -musteilla (Speckled Egg + Black Soot). Kehyksen stanssasin Looped Stackers -stanssilla ja tekstileiman kokosin setistä Merry Builder. Kaikki käytetyt tuotteet ovat Penny Blackin ja saatavilla nettikaupastaan, linkit tuotteisiin yllä.

Penny Black Winter Wishes: Cup of Joy

I made this Christmas card with new stamps from the new Penny Black release Winter Wishes. The stamp is called Cup of Joy.

I coloured the image with my watercolours on a panel of watercolour paper. I then sponged the edges of the panel softly with Distress Oxide ink in Antique Linen before splattering it with white watercolour. I also added a bit of glitter glue to the froth on the cup (not exactly visible in the photo but it is there, I promise!). I die cut the frame using Looped Stackers die and adhered it to the panel. The sentiment is from the Cup of Joy set, I stamped it and watercoloured it before fussy cutting it. I adhered it to the panel with foam adhesives. The background paper is from the paper pad Holiday Trimmings. I sponged its edges with the same Distress Oxide ink as well so that it would match the panel better. Lastly, I added a few sequins as embellishments.

Käytin tähän korttiin uutta leimaa Penny Blackin uudesta kokoelmasta Winter Wishes. Leiman nimi on Cup of Joy.

Väritin leimakuvan vesiväreillä ja mustetin reunat Distress Oxide -musteella Antique Linen, minkä jälkeen roiskin hieman valkoista vesiväriä paneeliin. Kupista valuvaan vaahtoon laitoin hieman kimalleliimaa, vaikka se ei erityisesti kuvasta näykään. Raamit stanssasin Looped Stackers -stanssilla ja kiinnitin paikoilleen. Tekstileima on myös Cup of Joy -setistä, vesiväritin senkin ja leikkasin irti, sitten kiinnitin sen tarrapaloilla. Taustan paperi on paperikosta Holiday Trimmings, mustetin senkin reunoja samalla Distress Oxide -musteella. Lopuksi koristelin kortin muutamalla paljetilla. Kaikki käytetyt tuotteet ovat siis Penny Blackin ja saatavilla nettikaupastaan, linkit tuotteisiin yllä.

Penny Black Winter Wishes: Refined

The November challenge at Penny Black Saturday Challenge is mid-way through so it's time to share a reminder card. As always, the theme is Anything Goes but the optional theme this month is a fun TicTacToe (see below). 

This time I decided to go for the Anything Goes theme and create a card using a new stamp from the brand new release by Penny Black called Winter Wishes. This stamp is called Refined and it is gorgeous! Perfect for any type of winter cards, I think. I created my card by die cutting a panel with Antique Frame die and while I still had the die in place, I sponged some Distress Oxide inks to the panel. I then stamped the image onto the panel, still holding the die in place so that I would not get any ink/stamped image on the white border around the panel. After I had stamped the main image, I removed the die. I wanted to keep my card very simple so I chose a one-word sentiment from the sentiment set Here's to Xmas. Before adhering the panel onto my grey card base, I adhered some craft foam behind the panel so that it is raised from the card base.

Penny Black Saturday Challenge on puolessa välissä. Aihe on, kuten aina, Anything Goes ja tässä kuussa vaihtoehtoinen aihe on bingo.

Tällä kertaa tein kortin Anything Goes -teemalla ja käytin siihen uutta leimaa Penny Blackin uudesta kokoelmasta Winter Wishes. Tämän leiman nimi on Refined ja se on mielestäni niin kaunis ja sopiva aika lailla korttiin kuin korttiin.

Stanssasin paneelin Antique Frame -stanssilla ja pidin stanssin paikallaan. Sitten mustetin paneelia Distress Oxide -musteilla, minkä jälkeen leimasin leimakuvan pitäen stanssin edelleen paikallaan (näin valkoinen reunus jäi valkoiseksi eikä siihen tullut mustetta/leimakuvaa). Halusin pitää kortin todella simppelinä, joten leimasin siihen vain tekstileiman setistä Here's to Xmas ennen kuin kiinnitin paneelin taakse fun foamia ja sitten paneelin korttipohjaan. Kaikki käytetyt tuotteet ovat siis Penny Blackin ja saatavilla nettikaupastaan, linkit tuotteisiin yllä.

Penny Black Winter Wishes: Waddling By

 It's release day at Penny Black today! A wonderful new collection called Winter Wishes is out now and it is filled with wintery stamps and dies perfect for not only Christmas cards but other winter cards, such as winter birthdays, as well. 

It was love at first sight when I saw this gorgeous penguin so I had to make a card with him straight away. I coloured him with my Copics and fussy cut him out. I then die cut the ground from patterned paper from the paper pad Wintertime with Curved Stitch die. Before adhering the ground, I lightly sponged a bit of Distress Oxide ink behind it. I embellished the top right hand corner of the card with a branch die cut with Juniper die and a button with a bow. I also used a new die called Pocket and Banners but I only used a part of the die cut pocket as embellishment. The sentiment comes from the set Christmas Feeling. Lastly, I added some tiny little star sequins to embellish the card.

Penny Blackiltä on tänään tullut kokoelma uusia talvisia leimoja ja stansseja, jotka sopivat ei vain joulukortteihin vaan myös muihin talvisiin kortteihin. Kokoelman nimi on Winter Wishes.

Tämä pingviini on yksi ehdottomista suosikeistani, joten täytyihän sillä tehdä kortti ihan ensimmäiseksi. Väritin pingviinin Copiceilla ja leikkasin irti. Maan stanssasin Curved Stitch -stanssilla kuviopaperista ja mustetin taustalle hieman Distress Oxide -mustetta. Tekstileima on setistä Christmas Feeling. Oikeaan yläkulmaan laitoin hieman koristeita: Juniper-stanssilla stanssatun oksan ja uudella Pocket and Banners -stanssilla stanssatun paperin (stanssi stanssaa oikeasti taskun, mutta käytin tässä kortissa vain osaa siitä). Lisäksi laitoin napin rusetteineen. Lopuksi koristelin kortin pienillä tähtipaljeteilla. Kaikki käytetyt tuotteet ovat Penny Blackin ja saatavilla nettikaupastaan, linkit tuotteisiin yllä.

Penny Black Season of Hope: Sweet Stocking

I'm sharing a Christmas card with a vintagey feel made with new stamps and dies from the lovely new collection of Christmas stamps and dies by Penny Black called Season of Hope.

The stamp I used for this is called Sweet Stocking and I coloured it with my watercolours before sponging just a little bit of Distress Oxide ink to the edges of the panel. I added some die cut branches and star garland die cut with Juniper die and String of Stars die. The frame is die cut with the fab new stacker die Graceful Stackers and the sentiment comes from the set Here's to Xmas. I added a bit of craft foam behind the panel and adhered the panel on green card base.

The Flower Challenge: November - Marraskuu

I'm sharing a reminder card for The Flower Challenge. Our theme for November is a nice and easy one, 'Use a Sentiment'. We have a fabulous Guest Designer too as Enna is joining us this month.

For my card, I used a gorgeous flower from Bouquet Builder 1 stamp set by Waffle Flower. I coloured it with my Copics and die cut it with its matching die. To die cut the panel, I used a die from Graceful Stackers die set by Penny Black. I sponged some Distress Oxide inks to it leaving the die in place so that the die left the white frame around the panel. I added a bit of craft foam behind the panel before adhering it to my cardbase. The sentiment is half die cut and half heat embossed and says 'Congrats on your special day'. To embellish the card, I added some enamel dots.

Penny Black Season of Hope: Fairy Festive

I'm sharing a card made with gorgeous new stamps and dies from the new Penny Black collection Season of Hope. This card features the cutest fairy, Fairy Festive.

I stamped Fairy Festive on a panel die cut with the new Graceful Stackers die and coloured her with my Copics. I stamped my sentiment from the new set Here's to Xmas onto the panel as well as some snowflakes from the set Cozy Nights. I die cut some juniper branches with the new die Juniper and added them behind the panel (the panel is raised from the card with some craft foam). For the background, I used patterned paper from paper pad Wintertime matted onto some purple cardstock and adhered onto the cardbase. I also added some baker's twine behind the panel.
