Cones and berries - Käpyjä ja marjoja

I needed to make a couple of quick Christmas cards and thought this Cones & Berries stamp by Penny Black would be perfect for that. These turned out so quick to make that I actually made two at one go.

I coloured straight onto the stamp with my Zig markers and stamped repeatedly using my Misti and colouring different parts of the stamp at a time. After having coloured and stamped the whole image, I went through it with a damp watercolour brush to make the image look watercoloured. Then I sponged the edges of the panel with Distress Oxide inks in Antique Linen and Vintage Photo before stamping my sentiment (it says 'Merry Christmas and happy New Year'). Lastly, I splattered the panel with white acrylic paint diluted with water and gold spray before adhering the panel onto dark brown cardstock and then my card base.

Tarvitsin vielä muutaman joulukortin ja ajattelin, että tällä leimalla Penny Blackin setistä Cones & Berries saisi niitä nopeasti. Teinkin sitten pari samanlaista korttia yhdellä istumalla.

Väritin suoraan leimaan Zigeillä, väritin aina osion kerrallaan ja leimailin Mistillä. Kun väritys oli valmis, kävin leimakuvan läpi kostealla vesivärisiveltimellä, jotta sain siitä vesiväritetyn näköisen. Sitten mustetin paneelin reunoja Distress Oxide -musteilla Antique Linen ja Vintage Photo, minkä jälkeen leimasin tekstileiman. Lopuksi roiskin paneeliin vedellä laimennettua valkoista akryylimaalia ja kultasuihketta ja kiinnitin sen tummanruskeaan kartonkiin ja korttipohjaan. 

AAA Birthday: December - Joulukuu

It's time for the last challenge of 2020 at AAA Birthday and the theme is 'Twinkle'. And to end this trying year on a high this challenge is sponsored by Joy Clair who are offering two $15 credits to be spent on digital products. Sounds wonderful, right? We also have a Guest Designer, Claire is joining us this month.

I went as CAS as possible with my DT card. I die cut the panel with My Favorite Things die and then used Stitched Star Grid die by My Favorite Things to create the stitched vertical lines and to die cut the stars from glittery cardstock. After gluing the stars in place I stamped the sentiment ('Congrats' in Finnish) and adhered the panel to my cardbase. So my 'twinkle' comes from the stars and the glittery cardstock.

Itse menin korttini kanssa simppeliäkin simppelimmällä linjalla. Stanssasin paneelin My Favorite Thingsin stanssilla ja pystyviivat ja tähdet stanssasin Stitched Star Grid -stanssilla. Liimailin tähdet paikoilleen ja leimasin tekstin ennen kuin kiinnitin paneelin korttipohjaan. Siinäpä se! Ja twinkle tulee kortissani sekä tähdistä että kimaltavasta kultakartongista.

Penny Black Winter Wishes: Snow Charm

I love snowflakes (real ones and stamps!) and these ones in the new Penny Black stamp set Snow Charm are no exception!

This card was really quick to make. I simple cut a panel and then sponged some Distress Oxide inks to it. I used Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick, Candied Apple and just a little bit of Black Soot on the edges. Then I heat embossed the snowflakes is gold and added some gold sticky back pearls to the centres of some of them. I heat embossed the sentiment (from the same Snow Charm set) in gold onto a band of vellum and adhered it in place before adhering the panel to my card base.

Tämä kortti syntyi yhdellä leimasetillä Penny Blackin uudesta kokoelmasta Winter Wishes. Setin nimi on Snow Charm.

Leikkasin sopivan kokoisen paneelin, jonka mustetin Distress Oxide -musteilla Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick, Candied Apple ja ihan hiukkapikkasen Black Sootia reunoihin. Embossasin kullalla lumihiutaleet ja laitoin puolihelmet joidenkin keskustoihin. Tekstin embossasin vellum-vyötteelle ja kiinnitin paikalleen ennen kuin kiinnitin paneelin korttipohjaan.

Kaikki käytetyt leimat ovat siis Penny Blackin ja saatavilla nettikaupastaan, linkit tuotteisiin yllä.

Penny Black Winter Wishes: Cozy Winter

It's time for December challenge at Penny Black Saturday Challenge and as always, the theme is Anything Goes with the optional theme of Winter Wonderland. As our Guest Designer, we have the talented Ellie.

For my card, I used products from the new Penny Black release, Winter Wishes. The stamp I used is from the new stamp set Cozy Winter, I stamped it onto a panel die cut with Antique Frame die and coloured it with my watercolours. I heat embossed a sentiment from the set Here's to Xmas on a strip die cut with the new Pocket and Banners die, added a snowflake die cut with Polar Pair die behind it and embellished it with a little bird die cut with the new die Wildwood.

Omaan korttiini käytin leimaa uudesta setistä Cozy Winter, leimasin sen Antique Frame -stanssilla stanssattuun paneeliin ja väritin vesiväreillä. Teksti on setistä Here's to Xmas, embossasin sen Pocket and Banners -stanssilla stanssattuun strippiin, jonka taakse laitoin Polar Pair -stanssilla stanssatun lumihiutaleen ja päälle pienen linnun, joka on stanssattu Wildwood-stanssilla. The Flower Challenge: December - Joulukuu

It's time for the last challenge of the year at The Flower Challenge and during December, we'd like you to 'Add Embellishments' to your floral cards. As our Guest Designer, we have the talented Helen joining us.

I decided to make a Christmas card with Penny Black stamps. I die cut a panel using Antique Frame die and stamped on it with Vintage Postcard stamp. For my floral image, I used a stamp called Sparkler and coloured the image with my watercolours. I also added a bit of gold Stickles to the points of the petals. After having coloured the image, I put the die back in place and sponged some Distress Oxide ink in Antique Linen on the edges of the panel. The sentiment I used wishes 'peaceful Christmas time'. I adhered the panel onto some kraft cardstock before adhering it all to my card base. As my embellishments, I used gold sequins.

Here's a close up that may show the gold Stickles a bit better.

Vuoden viimeinen haaste alkaa The Flower Challengessä ja teemana on tällä kertaa 'Add Embellishments' eli koristeita pitäisi kukkakorttiin laittaa. Guest Designerina meillä on tällä kertaa Helen.

Omaan korttiini käytin Penny Blackin leimoja ja stansseja. Stanssasin ensin paneelin Antique Frame -stanssilla ja sitten leimasin siihen Vintage Postcard -leimalla ja kukan Sparkler-leimalla. Kukan väritin vesiväreillä ja lisäsin terälehtiin kultaista Sticklesiä. Värityksen jälkeen laitoin stanssin takaisin paikoilleen ja mustetin paneelia Distress Oxide -musteen Antique Linen -sävyllä. Tekstileiman leimasin paikoilleen ja kiinnitin paneelin kraftin väriseen kartonkiin ja sitten korttipohjaan. Koristeina käytin kultaisia paljetteja.

Penny Black Winter Wishes: Hoppy Holidays

I made this Christmas card with products from the new Penny Black release, Winter Wishes.

These cute bunnies are a new stamp called Hoppy Holidays, I coloured them with my Copics and fussy cut them. I created the background by sponging Distress Oxide inks in Tattered Rose and Worn Lipstick onto a piece of watercolour paper and then attaching the 'ground' die cut with Curved Stitch to the watercolour paper. I then die cut the panel using Graceful Stackers die. The tree is from the stamp set Oh Deer, I stamped it with Distress ink in Worn Lipstick. The sentiment comes from the set Christmas Feeling. After adhering the panel to my cardbase, I embellished it with some enamel dots.

Penny Black Winter Wishes: Cozy Winter

This lovely winter scene is from a new stamp set from the new Penny Black collection, Winter Wishes. The stamp set is called Cozy Winter.

I stamped the scene on a panel die cut with a die from the new Graceful Stacker die set and coloured the image with my watercolours. After stamping the sentiment from the new Snowflake Season sentiment set, I splattered the panel with both white watercolour and white acrylic paint diluted with some water (because the white watercolour wasn't showing enough). For the background, I added some patterned paper from the paper pad Wintertime, a bit of string and a snowflake die cut with Polar Pair die. I also added a sticky back pearl to the center of the snowflake. I adhered the panel with some foam adhesives so that the string and the pearl could fit behind the panel.

Leimasin leimakuvan vesiväripaperille, jonka stanssasin Graceful Stackers -stanssisetin stanssilla. Leimakuvan väritin vesiväreillä. Tekstileima on uudesta setistä Snowflake Season. Roiskin paneeliin valkoista vesiväriä ja valkoista, vedellä laimennettua akryylimaalia (koska valkoinen vesiväri ei erottunut tarpeeksi hyvin). Taustalle laitoin kuviopaperia paperikosta Wintertime, hieman nyöriä ja lumihiutaleen, jonka stanssasin Polar Pair -stanssilla. Hiutaleen keskelle laitoin puolihelmen.
